Revered equally by both Hindus and Buddhists, Muktinath temple (elevation 3710m) is located at the foot of Thorong La mountain pass in Mustang district of Nepal. Hindus call this place Mukti Kshetra, which literally translates as the place of salvation or moksha. Similarly, Buddhists call it Chumig Gyatsa, meaning Hundred Waters in Tibetan.Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava), the founder of Tibetan Buddhism, meditated here while on his way to Tibet.
Built in pagoda-style, amodest-looking main temple houses a life-sized local Buddhist culture, and of course the trip evokes a sense of spirituality and peace of mind that comes with a visit to such a venerated place like Muktinath. Our trip to Muktinath begins from Kathmandu, and en route to Pokhara, we visit Manakamana Temple by cable car. We arrive Pokhara later in the evening. Next day, we take a domestic flight to Jomsom, followed by a jeep ride to Muktinath temple. We then retrace our way back to Kathmandu using the same mode of transportation.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU
We will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. You can rest or explore Thamel and prepare for drive to Pokhara for next morning.
DAY 2: KATHMANDU – POKHARA
After breakfast, we head for Pokhara. We drive along a winding road, with the Trishuli river flowing below the roadside cliff.En route, we come across plenty of roadside tea-housesfilled with travelers, towns with a mix of both traditional and modernity, small time vendors flocking to stopped vehicles to sell their amenities. Here, you will get your first taste of peoples life living by the highway side. On the way, we visit Manakamana Temple by cable car (Optional). After puja and darshan at the temple, we continue our drive towards Pokhara. You can utilize your free evening time for individual activities. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Pokhara.
DAY 3: POKHARA – JOMSOM
Early next morning, we take a short 25-minute flight to Jomsom. At Jomsom, if we are lucky to arrive on a clear day, we are greeted with some breathtaking views of Mt. Annapurna(8091m) and Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m). After breakfast, we take a jeep ride to Muktinath, our destination. On the way to the temple, we come across Buddhist monasteries, gorge of Kali Gandaki river, and a rugged natural landscape. We take a short break at the village of Kagbeni, a small Tibetan-style settlement, with a friendly atmosphere and which houses the oldest monastery in Mustang. When we arrive at Muktinath Temple, we will have a chance to see and feel the reverence of this tour. Following our worship and other rituals of the temple, we retrace our way back to our hotel in Jomsom.
DAY 4: JOMSOM – POKHARA
Next morning, we board our flight back to Pokhara. If weather permits, you can have a close view of mountains from the flight itself. Upon arrival at Pokhara, we check into a hotel, and use the rest of the day for Pokhara sightseeing. We visit sites that include David Falls, Gupteswor cave, Seti River Gorge, Bindavasani Temple, Boating at Fewa Lake, etc. You have another evening when you are free to check popular tourist hot spots in the Lakeside Area of the city. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 5: POKHARA – KATHMANDU
After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu by the usual route, check into the hotel and visit Jal Narayan Temple later. Since you will be departing back home the next day, here is your chance to check out the nightlife in Thamel (Tourist Hub) area that evening, or just take a stroll outside to see the vibrant atmosphere that is Thamel. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 6: DEPARTURE
Today is your concluding day with us. Our representative will drop you at the international airport as per your departure schedule.
